Matt and I rarely get into arguments or experience tension, so when we do, we really feel it. Last night, we both went to sleep angry. It was horrible. Late at night, neither of us felt like having a deep conversation so we ended up stewing in our sleep. It wasn't until the morning, when we woke up from a terrible sleep that we realized how serious our lack of communication hit us. Typically we feel that we have nearly perfect communication. But the more serious we get, the more often we need to check in with each other. It's difficult, and sometimes you don't realize you're upset until you are. Taking in this moment to remember that we will go through these times, no matter how much we try to work them out before they turn to anger. Fights happen. And we will move through because we don't want to do it any other way.
