I cooked everything today. Ohh the smells: caramelized onion and beet soup, some amazing vegan falafels, and these no-bake energy bites, which are basically healthy cookie dough balls. Cooking at home is feels like coming to the center of my being; it's where I take a conscious effort to think about nutrition and what is best for our bodies. This morning, after I came out of my morning grumpy fog (about 5-10 minutes) we did some BASIC workouts on the carpet, still in our pyjamas. We both realized how weak we'd really become this winter. But even laying on the floor, totally spent from a dozen seconds of plank, it felt good to face the state my body is in. Never quit.
